US-based crypto mining company Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA) added 373 BTC to its portfolio in September, bringing its total holdings to 52,850 BTC. The company's current reserves are worth approximately $6.4 billion. MARA's Bitcoin Assets Reach $6.4 Billion According to MARA’s monthly production report, 736 BTC ($88.6 million) were produced in September, a 4.4% increase from 705 BTC in August. The company maintained its strong position in the industry, capturing 5.2% of all mining rewards during the period. However, some of its bitcoin holdings are loaned, actively managed, or pledged as collateral. According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, MARA remains the largest BTC holder among publicly traded mining companies. Michael Saylor's Strategy maintains its lead overall with 640,031 BTC, while MARA ranks second. The company produced 218 blocks in September, a 5% increase compared to August. MARA CEO Fred Thiel described the increased production as a “demonstration of operational resilience” despite the global hashrate increasing by 9%. At the end of September, Bitcoin gained 5.4% to $120,373, while MARA's hashrate rose to 60.4 EH/s.
